What we collect

Your email (to sign you in — we use one-time codes, never passwords), the name you choose to go by, your taste signals (dish swipes, picks, skips), dietary modes and ingredients you exclude, visit notes and journal entries you write, photos you attach, and rooms you join. Basic product events (like "a decision was made") are logged to make the app work better.

How it's used

To recommend restaurants to you and your groups, to build your private taste profile, and to compute anonymous, aggregate signals for the public go-to pages. Group rooms only ever apply your exclusions as filters — other guests see the combined result, not your individual list, unless you explicitly turn sharing on.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't share your individual taste profile, allergies, or journal with anyone — not restaurants, not other members — without you switching it on yourself.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres, hosted in the US) and the app runs on Vercel. Both are bound by their own security practices; access on our side is limited to what operating the product requires.

Your controls

You can edit your name and preferences any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by emailing decisionsdecisionsapp@gmail.com — deletion is complete and permanent. An in-app delete button is coming; the email path works today.

Guests

If you join a room without an account, we create an anonymous identity that holds only your nickname and any exclusions you volunteer. If you never become a member, inactive anonymous guests are cleaned up on a schedule.
